Mycro brings together users for something greater than money:
Time!

As they say time is money. Some people have an excess of money but little time, making the time they have very valuable. Others have an excess of time but little money. Time is limited and we cannot stretch five minutes into an hour when we don’t have time to mow the lawn, walk the dog and grocery shop. In today’s world, our time is controlled externally by our jobs, social life, and an abundance of daily errands. There is a high demand to outsource these tasks.

Mycro solves the following problems to give people back control over their time:

Learn more

Non-existence of a worldwide platform
Currently, there is no global in-person platform that unites demand and supply for home, delivery and skilled services under one roof.
High fees
Platforms such as TaskRabbit and Airtasker charge a commission up to 30%. These high fees limit the number of tasks that can be outsourced.
Centralization
User ratings have become one of the most valuable assets, but dominant players such as Airbnb and Uber restrict users from taking their own ratings to other platforms.

Mycro Protocol
the underlying magic

The Mycro Protocol acts as the confidential net- working layer for all integrated decentralized ap- plications, creating peer-to-peer (P2P) connec- tions and providing an efficient way for users to enter trustless transactions over the network. The Mycro Protocol consists of client-side APIs and services that allow connected applications to confidentially perform communication functions with other users on the network.

With the Mycro protocol we ensure:

Complete trust
Decentralized rating systems and user verification options are executed by smart contracts, allowing both parties to enter a ‘trustless’ transaction. All users are verified through a implemented KYC process.
Secure payments
Payments are held by a decentralized, escrow smart contract while the job is performed, preventing retrieval access from either party until a specific job is complete.
Democratized ratings
Mycro is giving the no. 1 asset in the online world back to the user. By using IPFS, we allow users to have full control over their detailed rating information. With 100% ownership, they are free to take their ratings to other platforms.

The gig economy:
a global market for local communities

The gig economy is one of the fastest growing parts of the global labour market. While the total volume in 2018 was still around 200 billion dollars, the industry is expected to grow to over 900 billion dollars by 2025. The exponential development is typical for newly emerging market segments in the digital environment and underlines the potential that lies in the gig economy.

Learn more
Research by McKinsey shows that independent workers make up 20–30% of the working-age population. This is up to 162 million people in the US and Europe alone. However, only 6% of them are using digital platforms. This market is virtually untapped and has enormous potential to become the future of how we work.

Especially the participation of millennials in the gig economy continues to rise rapidly. According to research conducted by the University of Leeds, 67% of the people are joining the gig economy because of flexibility. This happens to be one of the most important assets Mycro has to offer.
